Our story

Twenty years of cooking from scratch

A hand holding a large plastic bowl of salad with various ingredients including grapes, corn, chopped chicken, half a boiled egg, shredded cheese, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and a small container of dressing in the center.

We opened in Sandy Springs in 2005 with a short menu, family recipes, and a conviction that a sandwich shop should bake its own bread. Two decades later nothing important has changed — soups still simmer from morning, dressings are still whisked by hand, and the loaves still come out of our own ovens.

Atlanta Eats called us “the neighborhood lunch counter Atlanta wishes it had on every corner.” We’ll settle for two.

The same loaves, by the bag

Sourdough boules, seeded ryes, sandwich white, and hand-sliced country loaf — baked here, sold at the counter. Take one home before they’re gone at noon.
